The day after my birthday, a very good friend of mine decided to take me on a treat! To where? You might ask…well we went fishing… and by fishing, I mean we had the most tasty fish at Abacha Barracks, Abuja. I enjoyed the fish so much that I lost all decorum eating it.
It was different from the usual “point and kill fish” that I was used to, mostly because it was roasted right on the grill, no aluminum foil wrapping, so that made it drier and gave it that smoky taste with the right crunch…served with potatoes chips and tomatoes-pepper sauce…mostly pepper because I was eating it through tear glazed eyes, but that didn’t stop me from ordering a second portion of potatoes chips with that sauce, washed down with a bottle of Ace Passion Drink, an apple flavored cocktail kinda drink lol
My friend insisted that we get the fish from her favorite fish seller, Sarah of Stand No.9. She said that she has painstakingly sampled all the fishes made by all the fish sellers and has come to a reasonable conclusion from her research, that Sarah makes the best fish and I concur. Like I said, it was very delicious, tasty and finger-licking. I will definitely hit that joint next time.
