And his last name is Rockets. Johnny Rockets located at Wuse 2, Abuja makes the meanest hamburgers. My friends first sampled their burgers and they had enough testimonies. So I decided to sample it for myself…my initiation burger was “The Route 66” Hamburger. Details: This burger is named after the iconic, carefree, American Highway. It contains swiss cheese, grilled mushrooms, grilled onions & mayonnaise….yummy!
Ever since I have graduated to other meals on their menu, like the Smoked Bacon Burger, Chicken Club Sandwich, Chilli Cheese fries etc…
The restaurant is divided into two sections..downstairs is more family oriented..longer and wider seats with bright decor, once in a while the staff entertains customers with a dance routine, dancing to an oldies, the “Go Johnny Go” song by Chuck Berry…that gets the kids excited. Upstairs is more for the grown ups. The bar is located here. The decor is darker with high tables and chairs for two or more…perfect for after work drinks.

For some reason, at Johnny Rockets, I always remember these scenes in the Pink Panther movie were the french Inspector Clouseau can’t pronounce the word “Hamburger”…Very Funny!!!!
