Why is it that everytime I decide to start a diet, I get invited to a birthday party and would be asked the tempting question “Cake?”… Ermm…Yes please, I would reply, thinking to myself, “I will start my diet tomorrow” . OH tomorrow is another friend’s birthday party or wedding…. Arrrgghh I can’t take it any longer.

Just browsing through Instagram and I came across this beauty, is’nt she lovely? lol. So during my lunch break, I left the office on a quest to find Micos House of Chicken and Waffles, located at QueenFem Green Plaza, Shop B26, Aminu Kano Crescent, Wuse 2, Abuja. Alright ladies, I am a mom of three and an exercise junkie, current weight 140lbs trying to get rid of the 30lbs/13Kg. After my third baby I was 175lbs/79Kg, lost 35lbs/15Kg with 30lbs/13Kg to go. We all know that what we eat determines what we look like. Yep it does! For many who don’t know, if you eat right, you look right. You can’t eat pizza all week and expect to have an hour-glass figure. Nope never going to happen, and yes we can all look great and have fabulous abs, we just need to work hard to achieve it and keep junk foods off.
It was time to catch up with friends and so we decided to head to The Dunes. I have heard a lot about that place but never been there. Dunes in Abuja is a one stop spot, it has about two restaurants for all sorts of food options, it has a supermarket that includes a bakery and you can do your grocery shopping as well, it also comprises of residential flats for rent. So if you live there you basically wont have to leave the building for anything…. We had dinner at the restaurant on the ground floor, the outdoor section is quite very relaxing as the walls have a custom made waterfall, which gives the place a tranquil ambiance.
